Tadaaaa I love this piece osomuch. It's one of very few that turned out pretty much exactly as I envisioned it in my mind.
Many people at cons asked me what series it was from; for some reason it was repeatedly mistaken for Code Geass. Anyway in reality this is "Kuroshitsuji" or "The Black Butler" a manga that came out not too long ago and was then turned into an anime. I never read the manga but I finished the series. Not the best thing I've ever watched but I promptly fell in love with Sebastian, who is totally the Perfect Man. Come on, he's hot, he's got a nice amount of mysterious edge, he'll rescue you AND to top it all off do all your chores. Yup.
This piece has symbolism in it pretty much wherever I could stash it, from certain things about the chess pieces to the poses themselves and some small details as well. Can you spot them all?
Anyway many thanks to for introducing me to the wonderful world of Paint Tool Sai, where I made this piece from start to finish, and to for selling me the program.
It was actually after I saw this piece at your table at AN that I decided to watch the series, I had heard of it previously but never bothered. Great story, great characters, kept me interested from start to finish, which is rare for me these days Must go finish my fanart now!
