Kuroshitsuji II by perishing-twinkie Kuroshitsuji II by perishing-twinkie
With there being a second season to Kuroshitsuji, I decided to do a second piece, a companion piece to my other one This time instead of Sebastian and Ciel, it's Alois and Claude. Alois and Claude have a veeery different style. Alois is sadistic and Claude is less fun than Sebastian and more passive.

Anyway I tried to throw in symbolism in this one as well. The ribbon Alois is holding is Hannah's. The teapot design with the blue and gold are for Alois and Ciel (hair colors) and the rose is the contract/trade thingie the butlers do about halfway through. there are a few other things but they're spoilery ;P

I like how this one came out. My last Kuroshitsuji print was my first real experience with Paint Tool Sai and I learned so much from it. There are elements of this one I don't like but that I don't want to change but there are elements I like too. I really like how the poured tea came out and Alois' right hand. ^__^

Paint Tool Sai, 10hrs.

I just bought this print today! I bought it at comic con in my Alois coplay since it was the only Black Butler print I could even find! And an amazing one at that. I'm so excited to have this on my wall!

I love the two drawings you did as a comparison AND companion. Sebastian versus Alois in their coats flowing into the background and the broken tea cup here, along with the chess pieces switched in the other. Lovely work, detail is a sure-fire way to a large fan base when it comes to amazing animes like Kuroshitsuji - great job. :D

This is really well done! I need to try Paint Tool Sai one of these days, if you can do this kind of work with it :3 Have you made prints yet?

Thanks ^_^
Paint Tool Sai can be frustrating at first I think. Its main thing is that it does an incredible job of blending and also its pen tool is fantastic, really light and natural like a brush. I do almost all of my rough stuff in Sai these days because it makes my lines look way better haha.

That said I think it can be frustrating at first for a Photoshop user BECAUSE it's so blendy. But you get the hang of it fast. Anyway the official site offers a free/full 30-day trial. After that though I highly highly recommend you support it by purchasing it... unlike Adobe's unreasonable multiple-hundred-dollar fees, Paint Tool Sai is a mere 40$! And it gives you license to install it (on as many machines as you want) up to... I think it's 40 times. Very reasonable :)

Thanks! I'll definitely give it a try, I've wrangled enough with Painter to make it work for me, so I ain't afraid of something new :) And $40 is nothing compared to what I have to pay every year for my Adobe license at school :P

Still don't know much about this fandom but love the artwork. The contrasting personalities really come across well here and I for some reason am fascinated by that ruined teacup and the poured tea. You did a great job with the reflection/transparency/etc on the moving liquid.

Thanks! Hooray for cheesy symbolism. You can interpret the broken teacup as you like ^_^. Actually that may have been the hardest part of the piece to do :/ I'm not good at drawing broken things. >_<

I was wondering if the broken cup was a bugger to draw. Broken things are hard to draw convincingly.

Mmmm so-so. I don't really like Alois, who gets just as much screentime as Ciel. But the butler stuff is fun, as always :)
